If you are like me, you buy fruits like apples, bananas, and berries most often simply because they are so easy to eat. A banana? Grab and go. An apple? Throw it in your purse.
However, I’ve found that it is much more difficult to throw a pineapple (or a cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew) in your purse, and consequently never bother to buy them even though I love melons and delicious pineapples much more more than eeples and baneenees.
Our friends at 5DollarDinners.com have helped us by breaking down this intimidating art. In their recent post, they outline step-by-step the process of selecting and cutting a pineapple.
We especially love this because buying prepared, pre-cut fruit is a way to empty your wallet. By learning how to cut our own (and showing you how as well) we can all save some money yet still enjoy fresh produce. Yum.
