From a recent U.S. study reported by News.com.au, caffeine consumption has been linked to significantly less muscle pain in cyclists.
These results were consistent across a variety of individuals and varying caffeine dosages. Other results indicated that there was no difference in these effects between regular coffee drinkers (3-4 cups daily) and occasional coffee drinkers (little to no coffee daily) – meaning that the pain-relieving effects work whether one drinks coffee often or not.
This is just one more benefit found for the so-popular stimulant beverage, and good news to those of us with achy joints or active athletic routines.
