Winter Blues Wednesday: HuffPo parenting, cupcakes in ice cream cones, creative chicken recipes

by Kelsey

We officially have the winter blues.

Even on the day when Father Winter ran and hid on Superbowl Sunday – the sun was feeling especially bold that day and it felt almost like spring – Andy pulled his back out during our celebratory outdoor rock climbing sesh and now is, quite literally, stuck inside since our membership to an indoor pool and indoor climbing wall won’t do those pulled vertebrae much good. Alas, we are forced to watch Disney movies and eat ice cream (but you won’t see me complaining.) And we shouldn’t really complain because we do both have season passes to a local ski resort.

Even so, I’m dreaming alongside of him of the spring and of the future. I’m also thinking about what we might make for dinner tonight (I know, my aspirations aren’t set very high when meal planning becomes my escape). So today I have some enjoyable links for you. A couple of were recommended on one of my new all-time favorite blogs, Good To Be Crazy.
